Summer Dance Experience

Mercyhurst's new Summer Dance Experience offers something for every young dancer. It's designed for intermediate to advanced level dancers ages 12 and up, with at least five years of dance training.

Abroad Experience

Students study abroad for two reasons: the experience of traveling overseas and/or to complement their dance studies.

Internships and Co-op Education

Students are placed on site with local and national companies/agencies in performance, teaching, and arts administration. Opportunities have included BalletMet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Jacob's Pillow, Broadway Dance Center (NYC), Erie Council on the Arts and Lake Erie Ballet.

High School Seniors at Mercyhurst

This program offers high school seniors with high academic standards an opportunity to receive dual credit for dance and academic classes through their High School and Mercyhurst College.

Professional Apprenticeship Programs

Lake Erie Ballet and SoMar Dance Works offer dance majors increased performance opportunities working with professional classical and contemporary companies in residence at the college.

Dance Club

Dance Club is student sponsored to promote and provide opportunities for leadership, service, departmental support and social activities.

Liturgical Dance Ensemble

Liturgical Dance Ensemble is student directed and provides leadership, service and performance opportunities to enhance the enrichment of spiritual life on campus and in the community.

Nu Delta Alpha Honor Society

Nu Delta Alpha Honor Society is the premiere honor society recognizing university dance scholars/artists and professionals for their academic and artistic achievements. It is sponsored by The National Dance Association, an affiliate of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD). In addition this organization provides leadership and service opportunities to its members.
